Fundraising success at our Christmas national charity day
UHY Hacker Young offices across the UK hosted Christmas themed days to fundraise for our national charity, Dreams Come True (DCT).
On Friday 9 December, our UHY Hacker Young offices across the UK hosted Christmas themed days to fundraise for our national charity, Dreams Come True (DCT).
Like the theme suggests, all staff were encouraged to get involved by wearing something Christmas related. This could mean anything from a Christmas jumper or a Christmas tie to hairbands made of tinsel or earrings from baubles - the choice was theirs! Of course, there was a small charge to participate and a slightly higher ‘fine’ for those who did not, with all money raised going directly to Dreams Come True.
Our staff across the UK delivered well beyond our expectations, with many offices holding additional activities such as Christmas quizzes, a decorating your desk competition, a best dressed competition, bake sales, raffles and even a make your own Christmas decoration competition!
Overall, our offices had a fantastic day and took many pictures of the occasion, some of which you can see here. Total funds raised from the day currently stand at over £1,480 – an incredible achievement which our staff should be extremely proud of. Additionally, with this added to our yearly total, we have raised over £10,000 so far for Dreams Come True since May 2016.
Dreams Come True is a national UK charity that works hard to make dreams come true for children and young people aged between two and 21 years old with serious and life-limiting conditions .
