Inverclyde’s wonder fundraising girl does it again for Dreams Come True

Local fundraiser Amy Shearer from Notre Dame High school in Greenock has just gone and done it again in her continuing fundraising activities for us..
As she has done before, Amy began collecting unwanted selection boxes of sweets from her friends just after Christmas and then set about re-packaging them and then selling them to fellow students at school and to other groups. As a result she has raised a further £450 for the charity on top of previous sweet selling activities and also a group Dream Tea she organised last summer.
‘I just love raising money to make more dreams come true’ said Amy. ‘This is a great children’s charity and I have actually been at one dream which the charity did for an Inverclyde youngster so I know the feeling of happiness these dreams bring with them when they happen.’
Amy was able to pass the funds on to Dreams Come True local co-ordinator Chris Jewell. ‘Amy really is a star fundraiser’, said Chris, ‘not only for Dreams Come True but for other charities and activities she is involved with. We are so very grateful to Amy, for her fundraising and salute her for all she is doing. It is great when a young person, like Amy is raising funds for other young people less fortunate than themselves.’
