Gregor is 7-years-old and lives with his Mum, Dad and Sister in Scotland. Despite his young age he has already fought off cancer….twice! During chemotherapy and recovery he spent a lot of time in hospital with only his tablet as entertainment. He watched lots of YouTube videos by his favourite vlogger Stampylongnose who plays and commentates on Minecraft as well as other games. Stampy has over 8.5 million subscribers to his YouTube channel and is in the top 100 most viewed vloggers in the world. Gregor loves Stampy’s Minecraft videos. He loves Stampy’s wit and enthusiasm, Stampy always makes him laugh.

Gregor’s dream was to meet Stampy and play Minecraft with him.

Gregor’s dream was originally planned for October 2016 but his Dad was involved in a serious road accident so the meet had to be postponed. Stampy never forgot about the dream and kept in touch with Dreams Come True to rearrange the meet when Gregor’s Dad was better.

Finally, in July 2017 the wait was over. Gregor and his Mum, Lola, travelled down to Portsmouth. He was bursting with excitement when he saw Stampylongnose walking down the street to meet them at the Game Over Computer Café. Gregor and Stampy set up in the corner on a large comfy sofa. Gregor was very excited that Stampy had brought his very own Xbox so they could play on that together. Stampy even set up a game especially for Gregor using his nickname. They built together and defended each other against the baddies. Gregor had also got Stampy a gift, his very favourite thing….cake! Gregor and Stampy played for over an hour before it was time to say goodbye. The fun didn’t stop there though as Gregor and his Mum were given the VIP treatment at Bella Italia in Gunwharf Quays.

Huge thank you goes to our corporate partner Bella Italia for kindly donating free meals to them before and after the meet and greet. It was the perfect place for Gregor and his Mum to talk about the amazing day they had. In fact Gregor and Lola enjoyed Portsmouth so much that they are thinking of going back for a holiday soon.

Special thanks go to Stampylongnose, Steve from Game Over café and our Dreams Come True Young Ambassador Mini-Matt Smith who helped arrange the meet with Stampy.

“Gregor loved being able to talk about everything he loved and have someone understand it all and talk back. It was a great time and I’m so glad it could happen!” Stampylongnose
