Before 21 year old Marcus’ life was cruelly interrupted by Hodgkin’s Lymphoma, he was working for his parents’ business in West Sussex and pursuing his passion for golf. Marcus’ mother, Keeley, said, “We discovered a lump on Marcus’ neck in December of 2016 and began going to doctors, but the possibility of cancer was dismissed several times before he was suddenly diagnosed with Stage 4 Hodgkin’s Lymphoma in June of this year”.  Marcus’ whole life—including any long-term plans and social activities—was abruptly put on hold as he had to commence immediate chemotherapy.

Cancer treatment posed many challenges to Marcus, including the loss of his hair and the inability to socialise with his friends. If all goes well, Marcus will have his final treatment on November 27th, and a subsequent follow-up scan just before Christmas. Having his dream of playing in a pro-am golf tournament would be an incredible way to celebrate being cleared of Hodgkin’s Lymphoma, and would give him the boost and inspiration he needs to begin to rebuild his future plans and goals.

Marcus’ mother, Keeley, says, “Marcus is a very giving person who has never asked for much. But during this challenging time, Marcus’ enduring passion for his number one love- golf- has really kept him going”.

I want to help make Marcus' dream come true by making a donation.

To ensure no child is kept waiting unnecessarily for their dream, the funds you donate may not be spent directly on this specific child. But rest assured, your money will be spent on dream making costs to help us grant a dream to one of the hundreds of children who will turn to us this year. All costs shown are illustrative – they are the estimates we use for our own budgeting purposes and may vary from the final costs paid. All children listed will receive their dreams – if insufficient funds are raised through this site we will use general raised funds.
