Three-year-old Jayden is a very active toddler who loves spending time with his family. Jayden has diaphragm failure which means he needs to use a tracheostomy to breathe and this prevents him from speaking.
There is a tremendous bond between Jayden and his elder brother, Elwyn, who wrote to ask if his younger brother could go on an adventurous day trip with the rest of his family. Jayden’s dream break came true when he got to have not just a day but a whole holiday away with his family at Center Parcs!
A complete family’s first holiday away together is always a special occasion, but Jayden’s complex care needs had meant that his family had never been able to spend proper time away. This was soon to change though! Center Parcs in Elveden Forest, Suffolk, was the perfect location for Jayden’s dream break, as it was close to his hospital too. Soon Jayden’s family were packing their bags and ready for their trip away!
As Jayden just loves to be active, there was so much he wanted to explore on his first ever holiday. In fact it was a whole trip of firsts – Jayden got to play golf for the first time too. The budding Tiger Woods had a great time and cheekily brought his own ‘unique’ approach to the game… hitting the ball once and then carrying it to the hole and putting it in! Much more fun!
Jayden’s dream holiday was full of all the things he adores, which made him so happy. Desperate to go to the Build a Bear shop for a long while, he absolutely loved making his own teddy bear. A huge fan of Fireman Sam, it was no surprise that he chose to make a fireman panda!
Jayden adores animals too, and so was really fascinated by all the deer and squirrels that came right up close to the lodge where he was staying. They were so friendly! He also got to play badminton, go bowling and have lots of soft play…. a perfect holiday!
Jayden had an amazing time on his first ever holiday. He just couldn’t wait to get onto every new activity – that’s him all over!
