Chelsea was so excited to learn that her dream was coming true and she was going to Disneyland.

Chelsea is 13 and has Spasticity and Dystonia Cerebral Palsy. She is in an electric wheelchair and has very little movement. Her upper limbs cause great difficulties for Chelsea as she often gets 'stuck' in a position with her right arm sticking out and her left arm bent. This can cause long periods of pain and discomfort.

As Chelsea has so many disabilities, she needed specialist medical equipment for the time that she was in France. This is normally very hard to find but after investigation we found a company in Paris that could help, which was invaluable for Chelsea, "The hoist was a life saver. The company had delivered it on the Friday and the hotel staff had kept it on charge for us. We were able to keep it for our last day as well and make use of the public areas of the hotel, including a sofa for Chelsea to have a stretch. We could not have managed without the hoist so well done for finding it for us."

The fantastic Holiday Inn Bloomsbury was able to help with a room in London the night before she was due to go so that she was ready for her trip away.

The family's own words say what the trip meant to them "Thank you so much for making Chelsea's dream come true. She absolutely loved Disneyland Paris and savoured every moment of her trip. Getting there on Eurostar was simplicity itself. We had a whole carriage to ourselves going and returning. The seats were large and comfortable and her wheelchair space had a special table that accommodated the height of her and chair.

Arriving at Disney was so easy - onto the shuttle straight to our hotel, picked up tickets, dropped our bags and hit the park. Saw lots that first evening and enjoyed the parade. We then dined in Annette's Diner which was significant for us because one of our carers is called Annette!

The staff everywhere were friendly, polite, helpful and for the most part bi-lingual which, given my pigeon French, was very useful. Chelsea loved it all and did not want to leave when our last day came. She has laughed and chatted about all her excitements since returning home. At home, church and school she has been working at making people 'well jell', which means very jealous!

We cannot thank you enough for giving her this chance, she has longed to go for so long and we simply could not have afforded such a trip ourselves. I can honestly say you made a 13 year old very happy by making her dream come true. And you made her parents very happy seeing her enjoying herself so much when a lot of her life is so restricted. Thank you, thank you, thank you."
