Stagecoach Dream Tea Party helps to fulfil a dream
As a trainee Marketing Assistant at Stagecoach East Midlands, I work on many events that aim to raise plenty of money for charity. Recently, we hosted a Skegness Dream Tea Party at the bus station on Richmond Drive, which raised a whopping £1,000 for Dreams Come True.
We saw many families turn up to enjoy fun and games including tombola, magic shows, balloon modeling, face painting and ‘Splat the Manager’. Ian Naylor, our Operations Manager, bravely volunteered to be pelted with sponges, all to raise money for Dreams Come True! We also managed to get Mick Forbes our Engineering Director, in the stocks for an extra £100… all from staff!
Of course, we had plenty of tea, coffee and cakes, which no tea party would be complete without. We sold loads of refreshments and all the money was donated to Dreams Come True.
We were all really pleased to see so many people come along and support Dreams Come True. Stagecoach strives to support local charities and communities. I love getting involved with organizing events such as this one as the process is really fun and it’s great to meet so many people who are also passionate about supporting local charities.
We would like to say a big thank you to everyone who attended the tea party in Skegness. The money that has been raised will go on to help children and young people with serious and life-limiting conditions to fulfill a dream.
