Marathon Man steps closer to his final 26 miles
As Rob Young 'MarathonManUK' edges a step closer to his penultimate marathon he talks about the motivations behind his challenge and the fantastic amount of money he has raised. Having never run a marathon before last year Rob decided that instead of entering one, he would run 367 in a year, breaking a world record at the same time as raising money for Dreams Come True and NSPCC two charities close to his heart.
“I was profoundly moved by the charity fundraising stories I saw on TV during the London Marathon 2014. I set off the very next day to run my first ever marathon and I’ve been running ever since.“
We’ll also be there to support Rob in person at the London Marathon on Sunday 26th April so why not join us and cheer him along?
With more than 8,000 miles under his belt already, Rob is currently leading the Race Across USA transcontinental marathon series, and remains on track to break the world record for most marathons ever run in one year.
