Sally Powell's celebrity tribute night
Sally Powell is one of Dreams Come True’s most dedicated supporters. Since finding out about the charity through her husband 4 years ago, she has organised balls, fashion shows and even pushed through the pain barrier at the London Marathon to raise over £30k!
This month she hosted her first tribute night in aid of Dreams Come True and in true Sally style it was a huge success! The evening featured tribute acts of Amy Winehouse, Robbie Williams and Katy Perry as well as a fish and chip supper, bar and disco.
We asked Sally a few questions about her event:
What was the highlight of the night?
All of the acts, they were all amazing!
What was the most challenging part?
When we ran out of prosecco before the first act was even on!
Would you do it again? Or is there something else you would like to try next time?
I’ll definitely do it again as it was a great success. I’m just in the process of booking something similar for March.
Would you recommend supporting Dreams Come True to someone else?
Without a doubt!
What would you tell them about your experience?
It is very rewarding. To know you are making a difference to a young life is amazing. Especially when you are lucky enough to have two children that are fit and well.
Could you put on a tribute night of your own? Is there something fun you would like to do to raise money for Dreams Come True?
Whatever you have in mind, we can support you all the way so feel free to get in touch by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org or call 01428 726330.
