Young Sophie wins the stagecoach drawing competition
Dreams Come True have been chosen as this year’s charity partner for Stagecoach Skegness Seasiders’ children’s books. This year’s book is ‘Harry and the Seasiders Dreams Comes True’ and is written in memory of one our dream children, Harry.
Dreams Come True and Stagecoach East Midlands also held a drawing competition amongst our dream children and their siblings, to draw their dream day out. The winner was Sophie who is waiting for her dream to be fulfilled. Sophie’s prize was to have her drawing in the book, as well as a holiday in Skegness which was kindly donated by the Golden Palm Resort.
On Tuesday 29th March a party was held in Skegness to celebrate the new book and launch the Seasiders buses for this year. There were activities for all, including a lucky spinning wheel, a magician, balloon modelling, a one-man band and various characters.
Michelle Hargreaves, Managing Director of Stagecoach East Midlands, presented Jo & Wendy from Dreams Come True with a cheque for £1,000. They also raised a further £285.00 on the day through donations.

“We are thrilled to have been chosen as the charity partner for the new Seasiders Children’s book, ‘Harry and the Seasiders Dreams Comes True’. This exciting project will raise much-needed funds as well as raise awareness so that many more children and young people are able to fulfil their dreams. This book features the story of a young man called Harry, whose dream we fulfilled in 2015. Sadly, Harry recently passed away, but this book will provide treasured memories for Harry’s family.
‘Harry and the Seasiders Dream Comes True also features the winning drawing from the Stagecoach and Dreams Come True drawing competition. This was won by another of our dream children, Sophie”. Peter Newman, Chief Executive
Sophie’s Mum Natalie said:
“Sophie was so excited to win & was over the moon when she found out she had won as she has never been on holiday for a week before. She keeps asking if it’s August yet (when they will be going). “
