Liam has an incredibly rare tumour on his pelvis.
Celeste wrote “In April 2013 after several months of chemotherapy, we had to leave the U.K for nearly 3 months for our son, Liam, to have Proton radiotherapy in Florida for his cancer tumour.
He had to endure general anaesthetic around 30 times and was in so much pain and discomfort after his treatments that although we were in Florida, we were not able to take him to Disneyland when his treatments finished there.
We always promised ourselves that once Liam was well enough we should try to go back to Florida so that he could enjoy it there rather than to spend it in hospitals.
This year we were given the amazing opportunity by Dreams Come True for that dream to become a reality. With their amazing help we were able to take him to Disneyland as well as Busch Gardens, Sea World and Universal Studios. It also really helped having a guest assistance pass for Liam as that saved us hours of queueing in the heat!
Liam loved meeting the Disney characters as well as going on some of the rides and rollercoasters...he had a need for speed! We truly had a magical time there.
We also spent some time relaxing in Clearwater as Liam loves the ocean and playing in the "big sandpit" as he called it.”
We can't thank Dreams come True enough for making this trip to Florida one that we will truly never ever forget!
