Volunteering at university or college
Many of our Challenge Champions are students at colleges and university and they all have three things in common - energy, enthusiasm and a taste for adventure!
Taking on a challenge and raising money for children with serious and life-limiting conditions offers young people a highly rewarding way to develop skills and gain valuable experience in leadership, teamwork and management - which all look great on your CV!
Don’t worry, you won’t be doing anything alone. We work with a number of specialist companies who organise challenges both in the UK and internationally.
Here are some examples:
- Trekking the Great Wall of China
- UK 3 peaks challenge
- Spartan, Tough Mudder, Bear Grylls
- Endurance cycling or running
They’ll handle the logistics with your health and safety as their primary concern, leaving you free to get on with the energetic bit...
What’s required from you?
To become a Challenge Champion, you will to need pick your challenge and recruit your team.
You will then need to raise awareness of your challenge and the charity, motivate your team to raise money and lead your team on this epic challenge.
It’s hard work but you’ll be fully supported by our volunteer and events team who can help you with advice and information.
